TRAVELLERS RIGHTS ACTIVIST TO TAKE SEAT ON TUAM COUNCIL

An active Traveller's rights campaigner looks set to replace Councillor Martin Ward when he gives up his seat next month.

The former Mayor of Tuam decided to bow out of politics last month for health reasons.

He will nominate fellow Traveller's rights activist Owen Ward as his replacement when he bids farewell to council life at next month's meeting
