The ongoing cold snap justifies the Green Party policy of investment in energy insulation for low income families, according to Galway Senator Niall O'Brolchain.Taking part in the scheme has helped struggling families reduce energy costs by up to €700 a year.Senator O'Brolchain says the carbon levy introduced in the 2010 budget will not only help fight climate change, but will also help the poorest people in our society to stay warm.
