THE GALWAY senior hurlers are aiming to win the Liam Mac Carthy Cup for the first time since 2017 this afternoon.

Limerick are All Ireland Hurling Champions.

Full-time: Limerick 1-29 Galway 1-18.

You can see every puck of play in our live blog below

The game was a repeat of the 2018 final where Limerick narrowly edged Galway 3-16 to 2-18. Micheal Donoghue’s charges arrive into the All-Ireland final on the back of winning the Leinster Championship with a 4-29 to 4-16 win over Dublin. The men in maroon and white followed that up with an impressive victory over Cork in the All-Ireland semi-final.

Limerick just did enough to get past Cork in the Munster final and the Shannonsiders needed a late goal from Aidan O’Connor to get past Clare in the All-Ireland semi-final.

The Connacht Tribune Sports department will be bringing viewers all the action, insight, and analysis from Croke Park on Sunday afternoon in our live blog at the bottom of this article:
