Two men are in custody after a quarter of a million euro worth of herbal cannabis was seized in Oranmore.
An intelligence-led operation involving the Garda National Drugs Unit, the Galway Drugs Unit and Revenue’s Customs Service, searched two cars in a car park in Oranmore this morning.
The men can be held for questioning for up to a week.
Revenue's Customs Service based in Galway said the holdall had earlier been imported through Dublin Port from Belgium and was transferred under surveillance to Galway.
