TUAM CHINESE ACUPUNCTURIST EVADES JUSTICE

A Chinese acupuncturist, charged with sexually assaulting one of his patients in a treatment clinic in Tuam, has evaded the authorities, by returning to China before his trial was due to begin before Galway Circuit Criminal Court this week.
67 year old Zhihua Wang, with an address at Temple Jarlath Court, Tuam, was charged with sexually assaulting a young patient at 'Care and Cure', Shop Street, Tuam on January 15th last year.
Defence barrister, Conal McCarthy said he understood his client had gone back to China.
