Plans to build a park and ride facility in Oranmore have been shot down by the Planning Appeals BoardGalway City Council hoped to establish the park and ride facility at Carrowmoneash, Frenchfort and Deerpark, OranmoreHowever the Appeals Board has upheld the decision made by County Planners and turned down the plans The Board turned down the proposal on the basis that it would pose a traffic hazard in the area and would endanger public safety due to its location close to a railway crossing
