MEETING TO DISCUSS VOLVO FINANCING DIFFICULTIES POSTPONED

The gathering was due to take place tomorrow and was postponed to ensure all key stakeholders which include Failte Ireland, City and County Councils, can attend.

It's understood up to 400 thousand euro is owed to suppliers following the summer finale.

A bid for the next stopover has yet to be submitted, however it's understood the option is still open.

A spokesperson for Let's Do It Global, the group behind the last two events, says the focus of Monday's meeting is to discuss the current financial situation and to ensure that everyone gets paid.

The spokesperson adds that the focus on a bid for the next event will only be turned once financing issues are resolved.
