Fianna Fail confirms Colm keaveney has applied to join the party
Galway Bay fm newsroom - The Former Chairman of the Labour Party - Galway East TD Colm Keaveney is to join Fianna Fáil.
A formal announcement is expected later today after a meeting of the Parliamentary Party.
A Fianna Fáil spokesperson has confirmed that Colm Keaveney TD has applied to join the Fianna Fáil Parliamentary Party.
His application will be discussed a meeting of the Fianna Fáil Parliamentary Party at 12pm at Leinster House.
It's expected he will now ditch plans to run in next year's European election as an independent.
