EYRE SQUARE WITHOUT TRAFFIC LIGHTS FOR ANOTHER WEEK

It could take up to ten days before traffic lights at Eyre Square in the city are back in operation.

In the meantime, pedestrians and motorists must make their own judgements when it comes to travelling around the heavily congested Eyre Square.

Galway city council is currently waiting for a new part for the lights that burned out over a week ago, causing them to stop working.

It's a specialist product that must be programmed so it's taking some time to actually get the controller installed.
