County Mayor to travel to China with Aran Islanders

Liam Carroll will travel to the city of Xiamen tomorrow with a delegation from Inis Oirr for an international competition.

They've have been nominated in the Pride of Place competition to represent Ireland in the category of sustainable communities.

Mayor of County Galway, Liam Carroll says the trip represents a huge chance to market Galway as a real tourist destination for the Chinese.
