SEVENTY-EIGHT NURSES ABSENT FROM WORK EVERYDAY AT GUH

Nearly seventy-eight nurses are absent from work every day at GUH.

There are over twelve hundred nursing staff at University Hospital Galway and Merlin Park Hospital, and among them there is an absenteeism rate of over six-and-a-half percent.

Today's Irish Times is reporting that 'other patient and client care' staff have an absenteeism rate of over eight percent.
