ORGANS OF NUIG STUDENT TO BE DONATED

It's emerged the organs of a 20 year old NUI Galway student - who lost his life after being assaulted in Co. Westmeath two days before Christmas - will be donated in an effort to save the lives of others.

Andrew Dolan - a student from Carrick-on-Shannon in Co. Leitrim - died in hospital last night, from injuries he suffered during an attack in Mullingar on December 23rd.

Three people arrested for questioning shortly after the incident were later released without charge - and files are now being prepared for the DPP.
