NURSES GATHER AT CITY HOSPITALS FOR LUNCHTIME PROTEST

Hundreds of nurses at gathering around now outside University Hospital Galway and Merlin Park hospital to protest over work hours. Their working week has yet to be cut to thirty seven and a half hours in line with the national deal.The Irish Nurses Organisation is calling on the HSE to implement the reduced working week for its members in the West.The hours have reportedly not been reduced because of staff shortages in both hospitals.
