NO ARRESTS YET IN LOUGHREA ASSAULT INVESTIGATION

Gardai have not yet made any arrests as they continue to investigate an assault in Loughrea on Christmas Eve.

The incident involving two men took place on Bride Street in the town at around 8 o'clock that morning.

One of the men was taken to hospital following the incident where he was treated for minor injuries and cuts to his head.
