Galway East TD calls for all major GAA games to be broadcast on free-to-air TV

Galway Bay fm newsroom – A Galway East TD is urging the Minister for Communications to ensure all major Galway GAA games are kept on free-to-air services. Fianna Fail deputy Michael Kitt says there are genuine fears that the GAA may move towards selling more of its broadcasting rights to pay-per-view networks. He says that all major GAA games should be listed as designated events so that people can watch the national game on the national broadcaster. Deputy Kitt says he's also concerned about proposals to increase future contributions to Sky's match coverage.
