Bestselling author Robert Harris for Galway interview in September

Kennys' Bookshop will host an event with author Robert Harris in the city's Black Box Theatre on Friday, September 18, at which he will discuss his latest novel and his earlier works.
A prolific writer, the former journalist has penned 16 bestselling novels including his debut 'Fatherland' which was published when he was 34 and became an instant bestseller, allowing him to quit journalism.
It was followed by 'Enigma', 'Munich', 'Precipice' and the Cicero Trilogy – 'Imperium', 'Lustrum' and 'Dictator'. His books have been translated into 40 languages and nine have been adapted for cinema and television.
This event celebrates the release of his new novel, 'Agrippa', which sees him return to ancient Rome, in a compelling exploration of friendship and power. Ailing and alone, Roman general and statesman, Agrippa starts to work on his memoirs. From his earliest meetings with Julius Caesar, through the epic conflict with Mark Antony and Cleopatra, and the endless wars to expand the empire, he is forced to confront how the cunning, ruthless, unknowable Emperor Augustus has dominated his life. Agrippa will be published in August.
The in-conversation event between Robert Harris and an interviewer who is yet to be announced, will take place at the Black Box on Friday, September 18, at 8pm.
Tickets are €32 each, which includes a signed copy of the book and are available now on tht.ie.
