A solution to the location of Tuam's inner relief road may mean that a 100 million euro development in the town can go ahead.

The road and tennis courts will not impinge on the town's Palace Grounds according to members of Tuam Town Council.

Last month, a plan for the road to go through the grounds was rejected by the Town Board after protests by residents of the town.

It's now emerged that, following discussions between the parties involved, the road can be accommodated without impacting on the Palace Grounds.

The 100 million Euro Development between Shop Street and Bishop Street is being proposed by local businessman Joe O'Toole.
