Galway United to play FAI Cup tie in Pearse Stadium

The Tribesmen to host non-league Crumlin United from Dublin in Second Round
The FAI has confirmed the times, dates, and venues for the Second Round ties in this year's FAI Cup, with Galway United's game against Leinster Senior League side set to go ahead at Pearse Stadium in Salthill.
The Second Round ties are to be played over the weekend of Friday July 17 to Sunday July 19, and there had been a suggestion that, if United drew non-league opposition in the Second Round, they would forfeit home advantage rather than using its temporary summer home of Pearse Stadium, which is being used while the playing surface at Eamonn Deacy Park is dug-up and replaced.
However, in the email confirming the Second Round fixtures today, the game is scheduled for Friday July 17 at Pearse Stadium, with a 7.45pm kick-off.
Meanwhile, John Caulfield's side return to league action tonight (Friday) after the midseason break with a home game against Dundalk FC - but the game is being played at Turners Cross in Cork.
Pearse Stadium is unavailable due to the county's senior Gaelic footballers being drawn at home to Westmeath in the All-Ireland championship on Sunday, with the League of Ireland game eventually moved to Turners Cross.
