Person airlifted to Galway hospital after 'very serious accident'
Gardai have been contacted with witnesses understood to be making a statement today
One person has been airlifted to University Hospital Galway after a very serious accident over the weekend.
The incident happened in the small rural village of Drimghlea in the area of Ballyconneely on Saturday evening just after 4pm.
A source told Galway Live: “There was a very bad accident there on Saturday evening. It was a two car collision and the helicopter had to come out to bring one of the people to the hospital.”
Galway Live has contacted gardai for a statement.
