The place is flooded with maroon and white

The day has arrived and Galway fans have been storming the capital since early Sunday morning soaking up as much of the All Ireland Final Hurling day atmosphere as possible.

Eager GAA-GAA Galway fans have been setting sail from their homes on 5am trains while some supporters who made the journey on Saturday were only getting out the door of Coppers at that time.

Fans are being advised to get in or around Drumcondra as soon as possible as heavy traffic delays are expected.

Here’s some of the colour from around Croke Park and back at base here as maroon and white fills the air.
