West secures 37 investments in venture capital programme
Galway Bay fm newsroom - Companies in the Western region secured 37 investments through the course of the Enterprise Ireland Seed and Venture Capital Programme.
A report published this week by Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton shows a national rise in the level of activity for 2012.Just over 23 million euro was secured for the West based on 37 investments over the course of the programme from 2007 until 2012.This represents 11 percent of the total amount invested nationwide with Dublin and County receiving the largest chunk at almost 48 percent.Nationally, last year alone,135 investments were made in Irish companies at a value of 54 million euro.
