West /North-West Patient Council to meet in September

Galway Bay fm newsroom – The West North-West Hospital Group's Patient Council is to hold its first meeting in September. The volunteer-run initiative is led by Colette Cowan, Chief Director of Nursing and Midwifery. The 10 member council will assist management in assessing the current quality of service as well as review policies and procedures. Interviews are still on-going and applicants are being given an opportunity to attend an informal discussion. It's hoped the initiative will be officially launched in July or August with the first meeting scheduled to take place in September.
