It is back to normality as the heavens are expected to open up at times

While temperatures will still remain extremely high around Ireland coming in at the mid twenties, we won’t be feeling the heat as much according to Met Eireann.

This is because rain and cloud will spoil the party leading to some miserable conditions at times over the next week.

Tuesday will be mostly cloudy, though widespread sunshine will break through in parts around the afternoon.

Temperatures will range between 15C and 24C with the south getting the best of the weather.

Tuesday night will be dry but cloudy in spots with the dial dropping to single digits of 9C at times.

Here is what Met Eireann is forecasting for the rest of the week:

Wednesday: “A generally cloudy start tomorrow with a few spots of light rain or drizzle in the north and northwest, and the best of the early sunshine in the south.

“Sunny spells will become more widespread through the afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures of 20 to 24 degrees generally, but a bit cooler in the north and northwest with highest temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees, in mostly light, occasionally moderate, northerly breezes.”

Thursday: “A cloudy start for most with some light rain or drizzle in the north and west. Some sunny spells in the south will become more widespread through the day.

“Highest temperatures of 18 to 24 degrees, warmest in the south and coolest in the northwest, with mostly light northerly breezes becoming northwesterly.”

Friday: “Another day with a mostly cloudy start and some light rain or drizzle over the northwestern half of the country.

“Sunny spells in the south will again become more widespread through the day. Highest temperatures of 18 to 24 degrees, coolest in the west, with a light to moderate westerly breeze.”
