Age Action West is warning of imposters offering to carry out work on older people's homes for money. The group is claiming two men posing as Age Action employees called on an older person living in the city and offered to carry out work for payment. The organisation's care and repair programme normally carries out repair work for free. Age Action West has reported the incident to Galway Gardai. Development officer of Age Action West's Care and Repair Programme Dara Duane is warning people not to pay unannounced callers for work.
