TUAM LAUNCHES NEW HIGH TECH LOYALTY CARD ZAPATAG

Tuam is launching a new high-tech loyalty card system in a bid to support local retailers.

Shoppers will be able to collect loyalty points via the 'Zapatag', a state of the art electronic tag they can stick on their mobile phones.

Customers can tap their phone on a terminal beside the cash register to avail of discounts in Tuam stores.

Tuam will be the first town in Europe to use the Zapatag.
