TEMPORARY PARKING SOLUTION ALLOWED AT UHG

Date Published: 18-Sep-2008

It's about to become easier to find parking at University Hospital Galway. The HSE West has got the green light from city planners to build 146 car parking spaces in a temporary car park. The car park will be just over a half a hectare in size and will be situated at the western end of the UHG campus, next to the Paediatric Unit. The temporary car park permission was granted this week and city planners have attached 19 conditions. Access to the car park will be from a proposed internal ring road in the Hospital grounds. The hospital must submit a car parking layout plan and a detailed landscaping plan to the Planning Authority before work begins on the car park.
