TD WANTS A&E DEPARTMENT AT MERLIN PARK HOSPITAL

An A&E department at Merlin Park Hospital would relieve pressure at University Hospital Galway, according to Galway West T.D Noel Grealish.Deputy Grealish says he believes that long waiting times in casualty at UHG could be eliminated if non-emergency cases were treated elsewhere.He says there is space and capacity at Merlin Park Hospital to develop additional A&E services.Deputy Grealish told Galway Bay Fm News that he intends to discuss the proposal further with the HSE and the Health Minister.
