The fine weather has brought throngs of people to the beaches of Connemara - and into the wide open spaces west of the Corrib.
But fine weather does not normally rank among the reasons why people come to Connemara - in fact visits to historic locations and castle appear to top the activities list according to the latest report from Failte Ireland.
Visiting castles and historic sites was the most popular reason for 41 per cent of tourists visiting Connemara.
Meanwhile 32 per cent visited gardens and 25 per cent the National parks.
It was noted that the scenery was the main reason why tourists, especially Americans come to Connemara - but the current warm sunshine is an added bonus
