SLIGHT INCREASE IN PENALTY POINT OFFENCES IN GALWAY

There's been an increase in the number of penalty point offences in Galway.

According to the lastest figures available there were just under 23,000 offences in March, including speeding, using mobile phones and not wearing safety belts when driving.

There are now 18 and a half thousand drivers in Galway with penalty points on their licences which is the fifth highest county figure in the country.
