A teenage boy is in a stable condition in hospital this morning following last night's fatal crash in Connemara.
A 16 year old boy was killed in the single car crash which occured at a bend on the main road between Lettermore and Lettermullen near Crimnagh.
He was pronounced dead at the scene when the car he was travelling in left the road and overturned at around 10.30pm.
The second teen, understood to be the driver, was taken to University Hospital Galway.
A Garda forensic team is at the scene carrying out a crash investigation.
Gardai are advising motorists that the road will remain closed until the investigation is carried out and to expect delays coming into Galway.
