Second N59 oral hearing concludes so decision awaited

Galway Bay fm newsroom - The public hearing in relation to the proposed development of the N59 from Maam Cross to Oughterard has concluded after a day and a half

Closing statements were given by a several parties at the second An Bord Pleanala hearing which was held in the Westwood Hotel

The first oral hearing in February focused on a broad range of matters while this latest one focused on land acquisition issues

The decision of the An Bord Pleanala inspector is now awaited on this major infrastructural project
