ROAD IMPROVEMENTS IN THE PIPELINE FOR MOYCULLEN

Plans are in the pipeline to repair the road from Moycullen to Collinamuck and from Collinamuck to Cloonibinia in Connemara.This was revealed at a public meeting held in Tullykyne on Monday night to discuss the appalling state of the road. The meeting was attended by a number of county councillors and Minister Eamon O'Cuiv who has agreed a future meeting with council officials to progress repairing the road.Minister O'Cuiv has also arranged to meet with Minister for Transport Noel Dempsey to arrange a financial package to repair and improve the road.Local resident Pat Lee told Keith Finnegan that the bad state of the road has been ignored in the past
