RENEWED CALL FOR SECOND EXIT TO GORT OFF N18

A County Councillor is hoping that a second exit off the planned N18 Oranmore to Gort dual carriageway at Gort will be included in plans put forward by Galway County Council.Last year the National Roads Authority gave approval for a second exit, however the County Council has not included in it the design and proposal.Councillor Michael Fahy put forward a motion for the Council to accommodate a proposal for a second exit.The Council says the scheme, which is currently out to tender, does not include a second exit and that one junction is "adequate to serve Gort for the forseeable future."Councillor Fahy says he is hopeful a second exit will be included
