Public meeting tonight on operators for Knocknacarra Center

A public meeting on the future operation of the Knocknacarra Community Center will take place tonight.(3/7) The meeting was arranged by City West councillors following plans by the City Council to privatise the operation of the center in Cappagh Park. Following a sucessful motion at a council meeting, city officials agreed to allow time for the community to make submissions on the operation of the center. The meeting will take place tonight at 9 o' clock at Joyces Supermarket. Councillor Pearce Flannery wants the deadline for submissions, which is August 1st, deferred, following the announcement of sports funding today which could impact on submissions. Councillor Catherine Connolly says it's important that the community submits viable submissions before the deadline.
