Confidence in Galway drinking water has been permanently damaged by this year's water crisis. A new survey indicates Galway households are spending up to 1,000 euro per year on bottled water. The survey of 600 households in Galway city by water purification company H2O, has found that despite the lifting of the Boil Water Notice two months ago, 100% of households continue to buy bottled water.52% of homes are still buying the same quantity of bottled water as they did while the ban was in place, indicating that public confidence in the drinking water supply has been permanently damaged by the water crisis.
