PRISON SENTENCE FOR BALLYBANE MAN FOR CRUELTY TO DOGS

A Galway City man has been sentenced to six months in prison and fined €1500 for cruelty to dogs at a special sitting of Galway District Court Frank Dodd, 213 Castlepark, Ballybane denied he had ill-treated four terrier-type puppies and a black wired terrier bitch at Cahergowan, Claregalway on September 22 last year.Judge Eamon O’Brien imposed a six-month sentence and fined him €1500.
