Postponed major Galway event rescheduled for this weekend
It was cancelled last minute due to weather conditions
A major Galway event which was postponed last week due to weather conditions has been pencilled in for this weekend.
Tracy Piggott will, weather dependant, complete her incredible 14km underwater endurance swim across Galway Bay in support of the Sensational Kids charity on Saturday August 8.
It's been a tough week for Tracy after finding out the original date had to be postponed but she is “determined more than ever to raise as much funds as possible and complete the swim”.
Tracy is expected to arrive at Ladies Beach, Salthill at approximately 12pm, where she will complete this extraordinary challenge before a celebratory reception at the Salthill Hotel from 1.30pm.

You can: Join Tracy for the last 100 metres and help bring her home to Salthill Beach; Join the organisers at the Salthill Hotel at 1pm to give Tracy the warm welcome she deserves following her estimated arrival at Salthill Beach at 12 noon.
