OVERCROWDING AT UHG WITH 20 AWAITING ADMISSION

There is an overcrowding crisis at University Hospital Galway today with 20 patients awaiting admission.All elective procedures have been deferred and the HSE says they're making every effort for those patients who need beds.The hospital has apologised to people waiting longer than usual in the A & E department but stresses that it will continue to deal with emergencies.
