Official says no timeline on emergency water supply to Aran Islands

A county council official says it's not yet possible to say how long water will have to be drafted into Inis Meain and Inis Oirr from the mainland to cope with resevoir demands. Tony Kelly points out the area had water rationing until mid-October last year. Arrangements are ongoing to transport emergency supplies of water to the two Aran islands by ship from Rossaveal. The operation is led by Galway County Council as an agent of Irish Water. Tony Kelly told Galway Talks it's a complex operation.
