More city roads to close this evening due to tides

In Galway city where most roads are open again after last night's storm many of them, in the Salthill and Docks area will have to be closed again from approximately 5 o'clock this evening

Garry McMahon of Galway City Council is warning people to be aware of further road closure as repair crews battle with high winds and high tides.

The next high tide is expected to hit the Promenade area of Salthill hard at 6.15 this evening.
