A Medical Council Hearing has been told that an operation carried out by a consultant gynaecologist in Galway Clinic was not in the patient's best interests.

Blood specialist Professor Michael O' Dwyer was giving evidence on the second day of the hearing into complaints against Dr Andrea Hermann.
