MAN STILL HELD OVER BRIARHILL ARSON ATTACKS

A 23 year old man in Garda custody in connection with the arson attack on three homes in Briarhill is expected to be released or charged this afternoon. The local man has been held at Millstreet station since 9 o'clock yesterday morning and is being questioned about the fires. Gardai have extended the man's period of detention twice and he's expected to be released or charged by 4 pm.
