M6 OFFICIALLY OPENED IN BALLINASLOE

The M6 motorway linking Galway to Dublin has been officially opened.
The Minister for Transport Noel Dempsey cut the ceremonial tape in Ballinasloe in the last hour
The final section of the road was completed on budget and four months ahead of schedule.
The journey time from city to city is now believed to take just two hours.
