LEAK DISRUPTS WATER SUPPLIES IN BARNA AND MOYCULLEN

Date Published: 27-Mar-2008

Homes and businesses across the Western side of Galway city are without water since last night following a leak in a mains pipe. Galway city council has discovered a leak on the pipeline that feeds the reservoir from the Terryland Waterworks in the city. The city council says engineers are working to isolate the leak this morning and has apologised for the inconvenience caused. They're asking the public to conserve and minimise water use in the meantime.
