Bank of Ireland is making a last ditch effort to redevelop it's Eyre Square branch. The developer behind the proposal is appealing the refusal of a new extension to An Bord Pleanála. Bank of Ireland's application to completely revise the existing rear extension behind it's Eyre Square building, adding 4th and 5th floors was rejected in May by city planners. The redevelopment would also have included an extension to the third floor and reconfiguring of the first three floors by demolishing certain areas.
