The city council has received just one submission from the public on the Galway City Noise Draft Action plan. The plan was put on public display almost two months ago.City dwellers had until last Friday to make submissions and just one was made before last Friday's deadline. The action plan deals with reducing noise affecting homeowners, shopowners, and hospitals in the city on sections of three national and four regional roads within city boundaries.A city council spokesperson said officials would now analyse the submission and may or may not alter the plan on foot of that.
