JUDGEMENT RESERVED IN MICHAEL FAHY APPEAL

The Court of Criminal Appeal has reserved judgment in the challenge by Galway County Councillor Michael Fahy to his conviction and sentence for fraud and attempted theft.In March the 56 year-old Ardrahan native was sentenced to one year in jail and fined 75,000 euro.His lawyers today said the defence case was hampered by evidence which was given by a prosecution witness during the trial which they were not aware would be introduced.The three judge court will hand down its decision on Tuesday .
