International conference on Palliative Care gets underway in city
Galway Bay fm newsroom - 40 expert speakers from Ireland, New Zealand and Australia have gathered in the city today for the fourth International Palliative Medicine Conference.
The Cuisle Beatha Conference will explore palliative care in relation to gastrointestinal disease and motor neuron disease.Experts will also address care procedures for patients with incurable diseases, and the ethics surrounding palliative treatments.The two day event is taking place in the Radisson Hotel in the city.
