IMPORTANCE OF CITY BYPASS HIGHLIGHTED IN NEW CAMPAIGN

A major campaign to highlight the importance of the proposed outer city bypass is underway.Galway West TD, Frank Fahey says signs have been errected at the Cappagh road roundabout and on the Barna road to illustrate how people will benefit from the bypass.The Fianna Fail TD is also organising field trips for people interested in seeing the limestone pavement at Menlo and bog cotton at Tonabrocky Bog, which are the subject of objections regarding the bypass.A judicial review of the Galway City outer bypass will be returned by the High court this month.According to Deputy Fahy, once this decision is made everyone must keep the pressure on to get the bypass built.
