IARNROD EIREANN TO UPGRADE COUNTY RAIL STATIONS

Iarnród Éireann is hoping to upgrade many of the County's railway stations.Earlier this year, the company was granted permission for preliminary works at Gort and Ardrahan stations, but it's now seeking permission for further work.In 3 seperate applications to Galway County Council, Iarnród Éireann is seeking to carry out work at Craughwell, Gort and Ardrahan railway stations.The upgrading is part of a plan to re-open the Limerick to Galway railway line.
